| On the 1st January 2010 the rate of VAT will be increasing by 2.5% back to 17.5%, reversing the governments emergency cut which was brought in last December to boost the economy. A rise of this size will mean a mid range Fiesta going up in price by over £300 and Mondeo Titanium by over £650. If you are thinking about a new car and want to avoid the VAT increase please don't leave it too late, the invoice date sets the VAT rate, not the order date! It is not good enough just to order the vehicle before 1st January, the vehicle has to be delivered to us. |
